ABOUT SMITH & SONS CONTRACTS
You know the work.
We help put it on paper.
Smith & Sons Contracts helps contractors, freelancers, and hands-on service professionals turn project details into personalized estimates, contracts, and supporting documents. You focus on doing the work. We help you explain it clearly to your client.
Hi, I’m Brianna.
I’m the person behind Smith & Sons Contracts. I created this service for skilled contractors who want help with the computer and document side of their business. My focus is preparing paperwork around your business, your client, and your specific job.
You review and approve the project details and remain in charge of your work, client relationship, and insurance communications.
A professional office behind your business.
When you’re busy quoting jobs, buying materials, and completing projects, sitting at a computer can become another job in itself. Rough notes and scattered details also make it harder to explain your price, set expectations, or keep track of changes.
We bring those details together into branded paperwork that represents your business. Our service is designed for people who are confident in their trade and want help with the document side. We work online, with project details and finished documents shared digitally. Inquiries are answered by email; please allow 1–2 business days for a response.
Your paperwork service, with clear responsibilities.
Document preparation only. Smith & Sons Contracts prepares paperwork using the project information you provide. Hiring us does not create a business partnership or joint venture.
You handle the job and the communications. You remain responsible for your project, your client relationship, and all insurance-company communications. We do not contact insurance companies or adjusters, submit insurance claims, or manage, negotiate, or settle claims.
You review and approve the project details, measurements, pricing, and terms before presenting or submitting your documents. We do not guarantee job awards, client payments, insurance approval, or a particular payout.
What we prepare for you.
- Personalized estimates: Your client’s details, project address, scope, material and labor breakdowns, and clear totals, prepared around the project information and pricing you approve.
- Custom contracts: Your business name and logo, the agreed work, exclusions, timeline, payment schedule, and approved warranty details in one organized document.
- Change orders: A written record of added or removed work, changes to the price or schedule, and space for client approval.
- Supporting project paperwork: Documents for a client or insurance submission, with the required information, service scope, and preparation fee confirmed before work begins.
Every document is personalized to your business, your client, and that specific job. Your business details can stay organized for future requests, while each new project’s details are prepared individually.
What that does for you.
- Saves computer time: Share your job information and let us handle organizing and preparing the document.
- Makes your work easier to understand: Give clients a clear view of the scope, materials, labor, and total price.
- Sets payment expectations: Put your agreed deposit, milestone, or final-payment schedule in writing.
- Helps reduce confusion: Document what is included, what is excluded, and what changes during the project.
- Gives your business a consistent presentation: Use documents with your branding and project-specific details.
Professional paperwork supports a clearer conversation with your client. It does not guarantee you will win a job, collect a payment, or receive insurance approval.
How working with us works.
1. Tell us about the job.
Share your trade, location, the document you need, and the details you already have. Photos, measurements, rough notes, material selections, and available supplier quotes can help. We identify any missing information before preparation begins.
2. Confirm the service and pay.
We confirm the document scope, price, turnaround, and revision allowance before you commit. Payment is due before preparation starts. Complex projects and work outside the agreed scope are quoted separately.
3. Review your personalized document.
Check the client information, scope, quantities, pricing, dates, and terms. You approve those details before presenting your completed PDF to the client or including it in a submission.
One job or ongoing support. Your choice.
First-job offer: $49. New customers can try one personalized estimate and matching contract for one straightforward job valued at $10,000 or less, with one revision included. No subscription is required.
Personalized contracts: starting at $150. Get one personalized contract for one standard job, with one revision included. Estimate calculations, extra documents, and complex projects are quoted separately.
Projects up to $10,000: contracts start at $150. For projects above $10,000, add 3% of the amount over $10,000 to the $150 starting fee. We confirm the project value and full service quote before you pay. Complex work may require a separate quote.
For example, a $20,000 project has a $450 starting preparation fee; a $50,000 project has a $1,350 starting preparation fee. This is a document-preparation fee based on the agreed project value, not the amount an insurer ultimately pays.
Annual paperwork membership: $990 per year. Paid upfront for one year, equivalent to $82.50 per month. The membership includes two personalized documents each month for one contractor business: an estimate, contract, or change order. One revision is included per document, with one active document at a time. An estimate plus its matching contract counts as two documents. Additional documents, complex estimating, extensive pricing research, and insurance supplements are quoted separately.
Membership is optional. New customers can try the $49 first-job package, and standard one-time contracts start at $150. Turnaround depends on the document and complete information. Annual payment is $990 upfront, with documents available at two per month. The membership automatically renews each year at $990 unless canceled before renewal. Canceling stops the next charge; service continues through your paid term. Refund terms are confirmed before signup. Sending an inquiry does not enroll you.
